Pseudo-random numbers are a sequence of digits or numbers which have been generated by means of an algorithm by means of (usually) a computer.

They are not truly random numbers because the calculation of one such number is based on what the previous one was.

Hence it is incorrect to suggest that it is not possible to determine what the next one is going to be, because that is a fortiori not the case.

But if the algorithm used is sufficiently complex or calculation-intensive, it is not a trivial exercise for humans to do in their heads.
